Sunset Hunting for Two
Her sky aflame, chasing sunsets
Horizon frets
We try to grasp
Her song’s last rasp
Her blush remains, shadows unfurl
Cirrus spit curl
Red dusk’s deplore
Billows ashore
Her heart exclaims, pulsing twilight
Sky night’s calcite
She blends me in
Obsidian

Written for dVerse’s MTB–The Minute Poem, hosted by Frank Hubeny. Go read about it because this form is freaking bonkers! The moment I read about it, I knew I had to give it a go.
While you’re there, check out other poets’ take on this tight, tight form!
I think you have the minute form done perfectly. I liked “obsidian” in the last line. There’s a Mister Linky at https://dversepoets.com/2017/07/20/mtb-the-minute-poem/ Put this post’s URL in with your name and others will more easily find your poem. Thanks for taking up the challenge!

There are some great lines in there. I loved the pulsing twilight, and the cirrus spit curl. That sunset has a personality. Ending on ‘obsidian’ is brilliant and bold.

Well done on the prompt. I’ve been thinking about this minute poem, but I guess the magic doesn’t actually happen until the pen goes to paper. You rocked it all, imagery to rhythm.
