The Egregious Lie Regarding Tinkerbell’s Revenge
After Tinker Bell died,
Peter couldn’t remember her.
Do my dead parents
haunt my peripherals
because they fear similar fates?
Fairies are too small
to hold more than one feeling
at a time. When dreamy
unspoken words dissipate
into unsavory vapor,
I envy them.

You know, I hadn’t thought of that! Also, I may use that line in another fairy poem! Thanks for reading. 🙂

Interesting view on size and the number of feelings one can have. Too bad abut Peter forgetting her.

Sadly, the fairy-to-feelings thing is real. I read it on Wikipedia, so it MUST be true. 😉
Thanks for listening to my rambles.

…and I am left to wonder why you were researching fairies on wikipedia! I think Tinkerbell wisely left Peter in a trail of pixie dust … at least I like to think so!

Oh i do my homework! We can’t have the reader doubting the verisimilitude of my poems about death, angst, regret, and fairies, can we? 😉
Thank you for reading.

I dunno. Fairies have a lot of feelings in a little body. I’m under 5′ tall so I understand them. Excellent poem with layers of meaning and poignant. I don’t think Peter forgot her, he just moved on to other things. Equally sad.

I’ll have to take your word for it. Perhaps that was the lie? I haven’t had the honor of chilling with any fairies, so I’m no expert. 😉
Thank you for reading and commenting. I agree that if Peter just moved on, that would be just as sad.
